The Hangover Part Ehhh

To say I was hype for this movie is an understatement and I must say I was......disappointed. I knew the movie would be a little ridiculous because like come on getting into the same situation AGAIN. But, what I did not expect was for them not to stray away from the original at all. In this sequel Stu (Ed Helms) is getting married to Lauren (Jamie Chung) whose father is not very fond of Stu kinda like how Melissa, his girlfriend in the first one, was not very fond of him. The wolfpack is back and they decide to have one little harmless drink before they call it a night and this is where the madness begins. They wake up not knowing wtf happened last night with Teddie (Mason Lee) Lauren's brother is missing. They also wake up to find a monkey and Leslie Chow (Ken Jeong). From here they're on a mission to piece together what happened last night so they can find Teddie before its too late. I will admit there are some pretty big laughs in this one but this one is not the original. The original was so quotable and different. This movie is a carbon copy of the orginal and I really don't get why it was made. The characters really don't go anywhere! Alan (Zach Galifianakis) is more retarded in this one than the last one, I think its a good thing since he does provide us with most of the laughs in the movie but Stu who you thought became a man at the end of the first one is getting bitched by his father in law! Another thing is they amped up Leslie Chow's role, who I thought should't have been in the movie because a lot of what happened in the first one was funny because of the wow and fun new characters. This one just tries to make bank on the first one. The new characters in this movie also blow. For example: Paul Giamatti's character who I was kind of hype for was not funny at all and they found a way to get Eddie from the first one to play a different character in this one. What happens is also very predictable since it follows the same exact formula the first one went by. So, you do not get the same surprise the first one had. I think this movie gets a lot of laughs since people eat raunchy comedies up and I do too, but, considering how amazing the first one was, this movie is shit. Do not see this movie if you value the first ones memory.
