First Class

So, a new poster and trailer for X-Men First Class debuted. I just wanted to let everyone know that out of all the movies that come out this summer, this is the one that is most important to me. With the last two awful mutant films, I think its time for the property that started this comic book film trend to get back on top, where it belongs. A lot of people really don't like where this movie is going especially with all the bad posters they have been releasing and rumors of Matthew Vaughn not liking what he sees BUT I want to actually give this movie a chance. I like the whole 60s Cuban Missile Crisis plot device and the fact that Vaughn is going for a "James Bond" feel. I am a big fan of the X-Men series and just love the relationship between Xavier and Erik. I love that they are really trying to dig deeper and show us how Xavier and Erik's relationship went sour. So, this is just me saying I really hope that all this movie comes together, the world needs a good X-Men film. The movie drops June 3rd and until then I will be praying for my mutant brothers.

In Brightest Day...

This Green Lantern movie is looking doper and doper. I was really not feeling the first photo and don't get me started on the first trailer. But, it looks like Warner is righting their wrongs in the past couple of weeks. I am hoping this movie is lives up to my queer fanboy expectations. The movie drops June 17th in both 2D and 3D.

Zero Heroes

X to the V dropped his Zero Heroes mixtape today and I am gassed! I am a pretty big XV fan, he drops nothing but heat and he's a nerd like myself. I recently got into him after hearing his take on Kanye West's "Bad News" track, which he destroyed by the way. I have been a huge fan of his ever since I heard that track and I am proud to point you in the direction of one of my favorite rappers. Download the mixtape if not for the music do it for the dope ass cover. You know you want that shit in your itunes, so download it   here http://hulkshare.com/3by068n04vuy

Friday Tunes

Who doesn't love The College Dropout? Well, I have grown quite fond of this album recently (Yes, I'm Late) I thought I would throw you guys into the Dolorean and gun it to '04. So, check out some of my personal faves off the classic album.

Damn, Mortal Kombat Ya Done Came Up

The New York Times revealed this new photo of Baraka from the Mortal Kombat:Legacy web series which premiered its first episode Tuesday. I like the gritty tone they're going for and the fight choreography in the first episode and in the footage shown in the trailer is AMAZING! Hopefully they keep up the good work and a movie gets green lit in the near future. Mortal Kombat was huge in my childhood and it is great to see it reborn and have this new swag to it. Lets pray that the web series and new game dropping April 19th lives up to its potential. Enough of me sucking MK off, be sure to check out Episode 1 of "Mortal Kombat:Legacy" below.

Taylor Lautner Action Star?

So, the trailer for Taylor Lautner's new film "Abduction" directed by John Singleton. From the trailer it looks like a teenage Bourne film. Which I think is kinda cool but I cannot get over them trying to make Taylor Lautner into this super bad ass. I don't mind him being the star of this film but in the poster he has like the bitchiest 5 o clock shadow I've ever seen. But, I think this movie has potential because I am a sucker for spy films. So check out the trailer and see if Taylor is one step closer to erasing Jacob from his resume.

RISE!

Check out the first trailer to Fox's "Rise of The Planet of The Apes" It stars James Franco and the effects are done by the same guys who brought you the Na'Vi in "Avatar". I always liked the concept of the Planet of The Apes movies (I try to forget the Mark Walhberg one). This trailer did look interesting because of how real the apes look. I am a huge fan of James Franco and love how he done came up from being Harry Osborn to being a superstar. So, check this trailer out. The movie is coming out August 5th and hopefully it lives up to its potential.

Sheen, Winning

It was only a matter of a time until Lil B made a Charlie Sheen song. I am a HUGE Lil B fan because of his "I don't give a fuck what the haters say" attitude. Another reason I am a huge fan is because I love hood rat shit so if you loved I'm Paris Hilton, I'm Miley Cyrus, Mel Gibson etc. like I did, you're gonna love "Charlie Sheen".

Kneel Before Michael Shannon

"Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures announced today that Michael Shannon will star in the role of General Zod in director Zack Snyder's new Superman film, titled Man of Steel.

Snyder stated, "Zod is not only one of Superman's most formidable enemies, but one of the most significant because he has insights into Superman that others don't. Michael is a powerful actor who can project both the intelligence and the malice of the character, making him perfect for the role."

As General Zod, Shannon will go toe-to-toe with Henry Cavill, who plays the new Clark Kent/Superman in the film. The main cast also includes Amy Adams as Lois Lane, and Diane Lane and Kevin Costner as Martha and Jonathan Kent.

Michael Shannon was honored with an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Sam Mendes' Revolutionary Road, with Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet. Shannon was most recently seen in the award-winning HBO drama series "Boardwalk Empire," from executive producer Martin Scorsese.

He will next be seen in Sony Pictures Classics' Take Shelter from director/writer Jeff Nichols.

Charles Roven, Emma Thomas, Christopher Nolan and Deborah Snyder are the producers of the film. The screenplay is being written by David S. Goyer based on a story by Goyer and Nolan. Thomas Tull and Lloyd Phillips are serving as executive producers.

Man of Steel will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company."- Legendary   Pictures

Michael Shannon isn't my dream General Zod. But, I can see why he was cast as the iconic character. I am not gonna say I've seen all of his movies or am his biggest fan. However, the work of his I have seen are pretty good. And I think he can give the character humanity while still being stern and ruthless. Another thing, he has a creepy voice which i think will do wonders for the character Hahaha. Hopefully we will see more casting news for the Man Of Steel sooner than later. I am counting the days till this movie is released. I really feel this movie is gonna be fantastic and change the superhero genre like  "The Dark Knight" did.

All Praise To The Swanson

All hell has broken loose in Washington and the Federal Government is gonna shut down today.I do not know if you know that Enigma Designs fucks with the funniest man on the tele today, Ronald Swanson. If you do not fucks with Parks and Recreations all you need to know is Ronald Swanson loves Eggs, bacon, and women. He hates Government and his two bitch ex wives Tammy and Tammy. The reason I say this is because with everyone panicking about the government shutting down, I am just chilling bout to light a Cuban with the happiest man in the universe....Ron Fucking Swanson.

Friday Tunes

A Lil something to chill too.

Deadpool Has A Director And I Have An Erection

So, The Merc With A Mouth has finally found his director and his name is.......Tim Miller?!?!? I don't know much about this guy besides what I read from the LA Times article. But, I am still super hype about this news because we are on step closer to seeing the funniest comic book character ever in his solo film. I would have been happy if they announced a raccoon was directing this. With Ryan Reynolds becoming a superstar his schedule is tighter than an Asian 3rd grader. So, his time is precious. Hopefully this means the movie will be fast tracked and we will be able to see this movie because Warner Bros. is trying to lock this guy down for Green Lantern 2 and the first one has not even come out. I really do hope this movie gets made, so we can forget "Weapon XI" -_____-. You can check out the LA Times article here http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/movies/2011/04/deadpool-director-rodriguez-tim-miller-marvel.html

Now This is a Trailer

So, I have finally gotten around to blogging. This is a week old trailer but I think you need to read Enigma Designs thoughts on the latest Green Lantern footage. There was a lot shit talking about this movie because of how bad the first trailer and controversy over the CGI suit. But, the new footage screened at Wonder-Con 2011 seems to have silenced the critics.I was blown away by this trailer. The reason for this is how big this movie looks. In that first trailer it looked like Warner Bros. just made a collage of clips in the movie to try and mask how bad this movie would be. This scared the shit out of me. But, after watching this Wonder-Con, I am gassed again. This movie looks like the first Sci-Fi heavy movie in the superhero genre. I have a great feeling about this movie but I really want to hold my judgement till I watch the movie due to the fact like many of the superhero movies being released this summer, it seems as if the studio is rushing and not putting enough detail into the characters we know and love. I will probably expand on this thought after the summer where I can go on a big rant about how I hate Hollywood. But, I am going to wait and see if the summer of 2011 is worth the hoopla.

Childish Gambino- Break (All of the Lights Cover)

Childish Gambino, aka Donald Glover, has dropped this new song to satiate our musical appetites. Always a fan of the Gambino, I haven't stopped listening to this since I downloaded it today. The guy can rap, he has a good voice, and he's not too shabby a producer. Check out the song, and check out his blog here.

Hypebeast Trender: Nudie Jeans Co.

As we all know, hypebeasts are the scum of the earth. These folks only wear certain clothes, act a certain way, or listen to a certain kind of music because it's "in style". So basically you're dealing with a bunch of opinionless sheep. Hypebeasts can effectively end a brands worth basically oversaturate it. One of the main reasons Enigma was made was because of hypebeasts taking all the good clothes and making them crap. Over the years, hypebeasts have moved taking style advice from RUN DMC to Kanye West. For the spring, it seems that the Swedish denim maker Nudie has fallen into their moronic sights. I personally don't have a pair of Nudies so I have no idea what the big idea is, or where this trend came from(they usually come from some celebrity) so I'm totally confused. All I know is, in a few months time, the hypebeasts will just move onto what ever someone else tells them is cool.
